Join artist Julia Clarke in new live webinar to create a paper band vessel by hand. This live webinar hosted on Zoom is accompanied by a materials kit comes with everything you need to learn how to create this sculptural work of art.

What's in the kit:
- Paper band strips ready cut to create your basket
- Hand-dyed raffia bundle
- Linen thread 10 metres
- Paper thread 10 metres
- Natural string 10 metres
- Elastic bands
Please note that all kits will vary slightly due to the natural materials.
You will also need a pair of scissors and a tape measure at home.
Optional - you could collect other materials to add texture and individuality, like strips of fabric or lace, or other natural materials.
The workshop will be approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.
Julia Clarke works with willow, both dried and living, with wire, steel, paper, and ceramic to create sculptures for indoor and outdoor spaces. Natural materials and environmental concerns are an important element of her work and the rhythm of weaving and using tactile materials are important to her process.
