In this course, you'll learn how to make a random weave basket with Julia Clarke, a sculptor specialising in natural materials including cane and willow.

Through easy-to-follow instructions, photographs and short videos, Julia takes you through creating a basket from cane and materials found in your own home.

You'll learn the 'three-way weave' technique and how to create a rice mould.

The baskets can be both functional and sculptural and can be made in a few hours.

Choose from the course on its own or buy the course with a kit of cane delivered to you to get started straight away.

The kit includes: 8 pieces of approx. 1.5 metre sections of 5mm glossy lapping cane - enough to make a small to medium sized basket following Julia's course.

You will also need: cling film, a plastic bag, sticky tape, masking tape, scissors, rice, pen, sponge.

This kit comes with FREE standard shipping to the UK (worldwide postage charges apply).
