with Hanbury Press

In a world dominated by the mass-produced books, it's possible to keep the romance of book-making alive.

Artist bookbinder, Kate Rochester founded Hanbury Press after studying bookbinding at London College Of Printing. During the nineties, she set up a small business under her name selling hand-made books and cards through shops and London craft markets. Her passion for travel, craft and paper resulted in further study and research in Thailand, India, Japan and Mexico. Hanbury Press is a platform to showcase her projects and share tales of inspiration.

In this course, you will learn about paper grain, book-binding tools, paper and other materials necessary for making books. This course offers simple and challenging ideas for crafters who want to know how to create unique and personalised handmade books. All books taught are structures which require the minimum equipment so that they can be made at home.
