I am Jane George and in July 2020 my husband Anthony and I lost our 19-year-old son Llŷr to mental health. In order to cope with my grief, I started knitting. I began making small things and giving them to anyone who came to the house. Anthony suggested we sell some to raise money for mental health charities. We were quickly overwhelmed and had to stop taking orders. Our son Alex asked for help on his Instagram account and before long the whole world was knitting and knitformentalhealth was created.
Our purpose is to raise as much money as possible for mental health charities by making and selling products, handmade with love by volunteers from all across the country. Wherever possible, we use yarn donated to us. At the same time, we want to improve the mental health of both our creative volunteers and our customers by sharing the ‘2 wolves story’ and creating an inclusive community where creativeness is encouraged and every voice is heard.
We are fundraisers for mental health charities and for every pair of gloves purchased a minimum of £11 will be distributed to various mental health charities chosen by knitformentalhealth.
Delivery info: the items will be posted Royal Mail second class.
Came across this page on instagram, just as I was searching for a glasses cover. Thank you so much, especially for the message on the card!
Beautifully made, quality bag. I love it and will be buying more items as gifts for my family. So happy to be helping mental health charities too.
I love my purse so much! So useful as a student and have to wear masks around school and when I get home I don’t want to go into my things so I keep everything contained in this purse which is beautiful to have in your pocket and brilliant quality and worth the money! Will order again soon!
