We've pulled together our top FREE seasonal projects from amazing makers and craftspeople. Simply sign up and you'll get access to a bundle of 12 projects (and we may even add some more when we get a moment!) to give you some amazing ideas for creativity this festive season.

    The 12 projects are:

    1. Make a leafy copper garland

This leafy copper garland is more intricate and refined than the pound store variety, while producing less waste and using no plastic. Instruction from Deborah Schneebeli-Morrell.

    2. Make a self-closing wrapper

The Self-Closing Wrapper has utilitarian roots. Designed as a temporary holding device for library conservation purposes, it is simple to make and can hold one or several items that are awaiting rebinding or are too fragile to stand alone on a library shelf. Instructions by Hedi Kyle and Ulla Warchol.

    3. Carve linocut citrus fruits

Linocut is a printmaking technique used to make reliefs on linoleum (a material made from all natural components, often used for floor coverings) which then gets covered in ink and used to make print copies. This centuries-old technique of carving can be used for creating designs in anything with a similar surface as lino. Instruction by Deborah Schneebeli-Morrell.

    4. Create hanging decorations

In this free step-by-step photographic course filmed at Wyvern Bindery, Kate Rochester shows you how to create bespoke window decorations using leather off-cuts or paper.

    5. Clove-spiked pomanders

Seasoned maker and Yodomo instructor Deborah Schneebeli-Morrell gives instructions for this project that yields unique festive decorations that not only look beautiful but smell oh, so delicious. Place your creations in a bowl with some acorns for an impressive centrepiece that will get anyone in the holiday spirit.

    6. Make a gift envelope

In this step-by-step tutorial, award-winning gift wrapper Jane Means will show you how to present your odd-shaped gifts in style with this versatile paper envelope. Thick paper works well for this, and it is a great way to use up remnants of paper too.

These delicate baubles are perfect to make at Christmas. Hang them on painted silver and white twigs for a pretty and unusual festive display, or use use old magazines and used wrapping paper for a colourful spin on this craft.

    10. Make a papercraft robin

Robins are often associated with the holiday season, with their festive tuffs of red and knack for colder weather. They are easy to recreate by using paper, and their little redbreasts make them super distinctive.

    11. Crochet a robin

Be inspired by Willow Crossley, author of Handmade Living, who will show you how to transform scraps of fabric into baubles, perfect for celebrations and the ideal festive activity to do with the whole family.
