In this course, you'll learn how to make a woven basket, in just a few hours, with Julia Clarke, a sculptor specialising in natural materials including cane and willow.

Through easy-to-follow instructions, photographs and short videos, Julia takes you through each step - from creating a rice mould to mastering the 'three-way weave' technique - to create your finished basket. 

Choose from the course on its own or buy the course with a kit of cane delivered to your home so you can get started straight away. 

The kit includes:

  • 8 pieces of approx. 1.5 metre sections of 5mm glossy lapping cane - enough to make a small to medium sized basket following Julia's course. 

You will also need:

Natural materials and environmental concerns are an important element of her work and the rhythm of weaving and using tactile materials are important to her process.
