Future Industries Demonstrator
Yodomo was chosen as one of the five SMEs and start-ups to join the first-ever SHIFT initiative, aimed at aiding organisations in addressing the climate crisis.
Yodomo was selected for the SHIFT innovation ‘Future Industries Demonstrator’ in December 2023, a project focused on supporting London-based enterprises who are working on innovative solutions to tackle the climate crisis. This initiative is supported by the UK Government’s Levelling Up fund, working alongside academics from UCL’s Institute of Sustainable Resources and Built Environment and local authorities.
For this project, Yodomo is working on innovative solutions to transform textile waste into insulation products for social housing. This demonstrator will be taking place at the Yodomo Textile Reuse Hub until May 2024.
As part of this project, we will continue with research and development around the commercialisation of designing insulation products from waste and tracking benefits to local authorities through data capture.
