Make a key fob

Learn how to make a leather key fob using veg tanned leather offcuts and gain valuable leather-crafting skills for future leather projects.

In this leather workshop you’ll up-cycle vegetable tanned Italian leather offcuts into a beautiful leather fob to take home, the perfect accessory for keys, as a zip pull, or name tag.

Participants will learn how to burnish the leather and personalise the fob with their name or initials before completing the fob with a chunky clam clasp, keyring and brass rivet.

The leather processing industry produces large amounts of un-tanned and tanned organic waste. With off-cuts, this workshop promotes sustainability by reducing waste and ensuring every bit of material is put to good use. This fun workshop teaches both practical skills and industry knowledge of the processes involved in textile manufacturing, providing a better understanding of how sustainability can be practically achieved.

Vegan options are also available.
