We're delighted to have partnered with ALSO Digital and offering festival-goers a curated selection of free online workshops. See the workshops we’re running at DigitALSO here.

Learn how to make a paper rose from crepe paper in this short video course with pajaki maker, Karolina Merska.

Traditionally made in the Kurpie region of Poland, the paper rose is made in many different colours and are added to pajaki chandeliers made from peas or beans. They can be made as an individual rose, or many roses for a display, or as part of a pajaki.

To make the paper rose, you'll need:

  • Crepe paper (approx. 80-100cm by 9cm)
  • Scissors
  • Embroidery thread
