With this easy to use kit you will be growing your own colour to use in art, textiles and fashion projects
Growing your own colour is like having the keys to a cupboard of magic spells. By planting the seeds and following the instructions in 12-16 weeks have enough plant material to make your first batch of natural dye or colour pigment.
Woad is the classic blue that has been used for centuries as the European version of indigo. Learning how to go from seed to colour is a fascinating ancient path trodden by many but now known by few.
Be a part of the revolution and take back this knowledge. Become a pioneer of the post-growth economic solution that supports sustainable actions in harmony with nature. Fresh leaves can be used to turn fabric into various shades of blue, lilac and pink. They can also be easily processed in a jar to extract the pigment and make paint.
All these methods you will be able to access over the course of 2022 via our dedicated portal launching in March. All you have to do for now is follow the instruction booklet in the kit, plant your seeds and nurture your plants. We will be in touch with you in March with details on how to join the growing club online to access the extra support for growing and using your woad plants.
